Wild & Scenic Film Festival Premiers: The Greatest Migration + SPOIL

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is not just another film festival in a charming little mountain town — it’s a festival with a purpose. Borne as a project of SYRCL (pronounced ‘circle’), one of the most effective localized river protection groups in the country, the film festival is a gathering of storytellers and story-makers; a festival by activists and for activists. In just a few years, Wild & Scenic has become the largest and most energized environmental film festival in the United States.

We’re excited to have two films premiering at this year’s festival — The Greatest Migration and SPOIL: The Fight To Save Great Bear.

And what’s a film premier without a party? Join us to Celebrate Wild Salmon!

Connecting ocean and forest in the Great Bear Rainforest and tackling an epic migration from Alaska to Idaho’s mountains, salmon are an integral piece of our cultures, ecosystems, food security and global economies. But to save them, we have to protect their habitat and restore migration corridors.

Join the filmmakers of The Greatest Migration and SPOIL for a beer and take action to protect wild salmon and the people, places and wildlife that depend upon them. Sierra Nevada brews, photo projections from iLCP and gear giveaways from Patagonia and Osprey Packs!

When: Saturday, January 15 — 5:30 to 7p.m.

Where: The National Hotel – 211 Broad Street, Nevada City at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Thanks for your support! We’ll see you there!
