I have bought a Canon EOS M3 along with 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lenses about two weeks ago. The main purpose is ability to take a clear, beautiful photos of faces and/or eyes. Actually eyelashes extensions. This camera and lenses were suggest by the Big Camera shop assistants. I must admit it has been my first experience with Mirrorless cameras. Since the purchase, I have been trying to read and learn as much as possible, but anyway - I have a big problem and I am afraid the reason is not my lack of experience /knowledge, but the camera itself.

The problem I am talking about is a missfocused photos. If the camera would focus the iris, then the eyelashes will not be sharp. If sometimes I am lucky and able to get sharp eyelashes, the area of eye looks sooo blurry. I have been trying all modes, from Auto, by Portrait and Macro, through Manual, but nothing works.

    Do you have any ideas/tips/opinions?

The first photo has been taken by my old, 6-year-old Point&Shot Pentax Optio, when the next ones by mentioned Canon. Is it possible to take photos which will be simillar sharp? Just to be emntioned, photos are always taken handheld.

    Thank you
