Are you looking for a camera that is unlike any of the usual and conventional models?
If you search hard enough, you’re sure to find a device that defies what anyone would consider a camera. The first thing that usually comes to mind when you hear the word is a rectangular box with a viewfinder and lens. Some unique cameras don’t follow such conventions.
Top 10 Unique Cameras
Apple Quicktake 100
This camera is unique in the sense that it was the first and last digital camera that Apple developed. It looks more like a projector than a classic camera with an impressive 0.08MP that can take 32 photos or 8 snaps at 640×480.
This camera sports an interesting shape and design that enables it to capture square images using its 35mm lens. What’s even more unique about its shape is that it can be used as a lens mount for Canon, Contax, Minolta, and Nikon lenses.
It was originally developed in a pocket size format and ended up shaped like a lipstick. This light-field camera can refocus images after they are taken. Later models measure resolution in megarays instead of megapixels and can focus from 0 mm to infinity.
It mimics the shape of a smartphone and comes with 16 camera modules. This allows multiple high-resolution snaps to be taken at varying focal lengths all at the same time. It was designed to be portable like a compact camera and to capture high-quality images like a large DSLR.

From the name itself you can pretty much guess what this camera looks like. You would raise both your hands up in surrender when this camera is pointed at you.
This was built for training purposes and was mounted on planes instead of the real machine guns. The camera manufacturer’s name Konishoruko gave birth to a more familiar brand name Konica.
Other cameras designed like a weapon are the Doryu 2-16 and Zenit Photosniper.
Lomography Konstruktor F do-it-yourself 35mm film SLR camera kit
It is not the camera itself that is unique but the fact that you will be given different parts of a camera that you have to assemble yourself. Once put together, it looks like a normal SLR but the effort you put on it will make a difference.

This black-and-white camcorder uses audio cassette tapes for recording videos. While it is not exactly high-tech its resemblance to a tucker gun makes it unique.
You have to give it to the Japanese for coming up with very unusual camera designs. The Sakura Petal is the world’s smallest subminiature photographic camera. It can take 6 photos on a piece of cut film. Because it only measures just an inch in diameter, handling and use are quite difficult.
This torch-like camera had a 35-105mm zoom lens with an impressive built-in flash. Because of its funky shape, it made its way to the New York Museum of Modern Art.
Pentax Optio NB1000
It looks similar to a point-and-shoot digital camera except for the nanoblocks on the front of the camera. This lets you create your own camera design by attaching the blocks. It has a 3-inch digital display, a 4x optical zoom, and the capability to capture 14MP images.
