The business industry is continuously evolving with the use of the latest technologies, the latest of which is the partnership of Altia Systems with Intel® Unite™ on conference room innovations and smart office spaces with PanaCast 2 and PanaCast Experience integration.
PANACAST® PANORAMIC-4K VIDEO CAMERA FEATURES
This was announced by Intel at Computex in Taipei. First introduced in May this year, Panacast 2 makes its mark as the world’s first Panoramic-4k Plug-and-Play USB video camera complete with features to beat.
Compact and versatile, a device that can be directly connected to either a PC or Mac, it boasts of Panoramic-4k resolution an 80° wide, 54° tall field of view. Business interaction among employees and electronic meetings has been taken to a different level. The new product is easy to use and works perfectly well in existing web communication apps, including WebEx, Hangouts and Skype by just plugging the device into a computer’s USB port.
Altia Systems President and CEO Aurangzeb Khan, at the product launch, has this to say, “PanaCast 2 can help transform how people see and connect electronically, by providing a natural human perspective that enhances popular collaboration services with industry-leading resolution, clarity and speed, in a small, personal, go-anywhere, Plug-and-Play device”.
Along with the PanaCast Experience service, the remote participant will be able to optimize interaction and gain a more natural human experience by gaining control on participation and engagement during meetings.
This was exactly what the people of the Intel Unite Solution had in mind that led them to let the innovative products from the creators of PanaCast cameras and PanaCast Experience maximize the potential of the mini PCs with Intel core vPro processors.
PANACAST® PANORAMIC-4K VIDEO CAMERA TAKES VIDEO CONFERENCING TO A HIGHER LEVEL
With these products, participants in video meeting will be able to navigate themselves in zooming and panning into specific areas they want to focus on, such as an on-going AVP or have a good view of the whole room from their own devices via multi-touch gestures, in real time. The experience would feel like being physically present in the meeting.
Ira M. Weinstein, senior analyst and partner for Wainhouse Research had a first-hand experience on this technology during a Zoom conference call.
“The panoramic view allowed me to see all five remote participants at the same time, and the 4k resolution provided great visual detail – allowing me to feel ‘connected’ to everyone in the meeting”, said Weinstein.
Meanwhile, this new visual collaborating experience that takes video conferencing to a higher level is also being enjoyed by educational and medical institutions.
Apps for these devices can be downloaded free from Altia Systems’ website, Apple App Store and Google Play while the video server software for PanaCast is available for on-premises installation for client-provided servers. Altia Systems is based in Cupertino, California.
