With the FinePix XP130, Fujifilm has put out a tough camera that can handle all sorts of adventures. It is protected against dust, freeze, shock, and water and comes in a lightweight body, making it an ideal accessory for those who want a capable compact during their travels. Plus, this model is equipped with the latest Bluetooth technology to facilitate faster image transfer.
Fitted with a Fujinon lens, colors are reproduced vividly, resulting in high-quality images. Helped by a 16.4MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor, the camera is perfectly capable of capturing moments no matter the shooting situation.
Four rugged protections
Outdoor adventures are expected to be rough affairs what with the different weather conditions that can be met and the toughness of the environmental condition in general. As such, outdoor enthusiasts need a camera that can still remain functional even in the toughest of conditions.
The XP130 is IP68 compliant, meaning it adheres to the standards set for waterproof and dustproof protection. As such, it is perfectly capable of functioning even during a drizzle or in dusty conditions. It is waterproof up to 20m, making it ideal to take during a quick dip.
The camera is shockproof to 1.75m so you don’t have to worry about it not functioning after an accidental fall. With such a protection, you can lend the camera to kids for some tinkering without having to worry about extensive damage.
Lastly, the camera is freezeproof up to -10 degrees Celsius which makes it a great companion when the weather gets rather chilly.
Connective capabilities
The latest Bluetooth technology might be one of the highlights of the XP130 as it makes media transfer to smartphones and tablet devices a lot easier. With the technology, time and location from the device is synced with the images to give you more information about when and where you took the image. However, you need to download the Fujifilm Camera Remote app to use the feature.
In addition to Bluetooth, the XP130 also supports wireless LAN connectivity.
High-quality images with unique color reproduction technology
Images turn out with beautiful colors no matter the lighting condition thanks to Fujifilm’s color reproduction technology. Sharp images are achieved even in low-light conditions with the help of the camera’s optical image stabilization mechanism.
Shooting in a wide range of conditions is also possible thanks to the combination of a 16.4MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens that starts at 28mm on the wide side. Users can also double to zoom range to 10x on the XP130 with the help of Fujifilm’s Intelligent Digital Zoom technology.
Compact and lightweight design
No one wants to haul equipment when they’re out having fun. With its compact body and lightweight design, the FinePix XP130 makes a lovely companion when on an outdoor adventure. It also features a 3.0-inch 920K-dot high definition LCD that inhibits light so you can still review images even in bright light.
Neat shooting functions for better photos
With Electronic Level, users can capture horizontal subjects like landscapes. Eye Detection, on the other hand, ensures that the subject’s eyes are in focus when shooting portraits.
The FinePix XP130 from Fujifilm is expected to arrive in March 2018. It will be available in dark silver, lime green, sky blue, white, and yellow and retail at $230.
