Perhaps you have a GoPro camera that got destroyed during one of your vacations and now no longer works properly. Or maybe your old GoPro is still in good condition but you’ve outgrown its specs and features (or are just plain bored with it). Either way, you can now solve the problem by using GoPro’s Trade-Up program.
This is the company’s first-ever camera trade-up program and is perfectly timed to let customers take advantage of the new GoPro cameras, the HERO5 Black and the HERO5 Session. The program covers all old GoPro cameras and accepts then in any condition, whether they’re simply dented and scratched or destroyed to pieces. This makes it highly beneficial to all GoPro users, particularly those who are no longer happy with their camera but don’t have the budget to fix it.
If you want to take part in the Trade-Up program, go to shop.gopro.com/tradeup and choose between the HERO5 Black and the HERO5 Session. After making a selection, click on the “Checkout” button and follow the instructions to complete the process. You’ll receive a shipping label that you should use to mail your old camera to GoPro; once they receive it, they will process your discount and ship your new camera to you. It’s safe to assume that the discount you’ll receive depends on the model of your old GoPro as well as its current condition.
The HERO5 Black has an MSRP of $399.99, while the HERO5 Session has an MSRP of $299.99. They’re the first-ever GoPro models to have the ability to cloud-connect to the GoPro Plus subscription service and seamlessly connect with the company’s Quik and Capture apps, which make it easy for you to edit, preview, playback, and share your footage.
The HERO5 Black and HERO5 Session can be used up to 33 feet underwater without the need for a separate housing, and they’re built with hands-free voice control and enhanced image stabilization features. Their simplified controls, long battery life, and built-in touchscreen display (on the HERO5 Black only) make them ideal companions for travelers and adventurers.
