Here we take a look at the Panason X900/X920 Review, this camcorder is a great bit of kit, lets have a look why
Although priced at over a thousand dollars, Panasonic’s HC-X900 Series still continues to garner a lot of attention from the media, professionals and consumers alike. Intriguing? Most definitely. Let’s have a look at why.
Video and Image Quality
Panasonic HC-X900 records clean and very crisp videos at 1080p and in full HD. It captures contents at 60 FPS that even slow motion playbacks remain clear on screen. Although this camcorder model only has an average optical zoom at 12x, it does still tout a digital zoom of up to 700x! With the optical zoom at 12x, however, video quality over 32x extended magnification is expected to degrade.
This camcorder also has 3 separate sensors for green, blue, and red light. These make the capturing of scenery in better detail and more accurate colors. It also has noise reduction far better compared to most single-chip camcorders.
Features
One of the greatest features users will surely enjoy from the HC-X900 is its 32GB internal memory. This is by far the largest built-in memory storage capacity in an HD camcorder we have reviewed. A 32GB internal memory translates to 3 long hours of HD video! No need to bother spending extra on a separate memory card.
Another great feature this model offers is its capacity to shoot videos in 3D. However, owners will have to go out of their way to purchase a separate lens for this.
Design
One downside to the HC-X920 though is its structure. It comes a bit heavier than the other camcorders out in today’s market. The reason for this is, while others come with 3” LCD screens, HC-X900 comes with 3.5”. Its screen is a bit wider but this can mean getting a better view of recorded videos
The HC-X900 weighs just a bit less than one pound. It’s great for outdoor activities but entails more care in terms of handling whenever users venture outside.
Summary
The Panasonic HC-X900 is indeed a great investment especially for videography enthusiasts. It may be a bit bigger than most camcorders, but it offers features that only a few others have such as the 32GB integrated memory and a 3D video shooting capacity. Thanks for reading our HC x920 Review
