It is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof and freeze-proof
Considered as one of the best outdoor cameras out there, the RICOH WG-60 has all the features that you need to shoot even in harsh, demanding outdoor conditions. Its solid, airtight body makes it waterproof up to a depth of 14 meters and can be used continuously underwater for two hours. It is also dustproof, shockproof against falls from a height of 1.6 meters and freeze-proof for up to -10 degrees Celsius. The RICOH WG-60 also boasts of an impressive crush-proof quality, as it can bear weights of up to 100 kilogram force on top of it and still perform excellently.
It has pretty impressive camera features
While the RICOH WG-60 isn’t the best one out there in terms of camera quality, it still has pretty impressive shooting features by normal camera standards. The camera has a 16-megapixel resolution and a built-in 5x zoom lens with a top sensitivity of ISO 6400. It is also equipped with a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, which gives it low noise characteristics, high sensitivity and high speed read out of image data signals.
Although the camera’s lens can only focus down to just 1mm, it has six tiny LED lamps that can also be used as a torch to illuminate images. The RICOH WG-60 also boasts of its Handheld Night Snap mode that automatically captures several images of the same lowlight scene to produce one blur-free image.
It has excellent lens with wide-angle coverage
The RICOH WG-60’s built in 5x zoom lens covers focal lengths ranging from 5mm to 25mm to accommodate different subjects and scenes, especially landscapes. It also has macro mode for close-up images, an intelligent zoom function that extends its range to approximately 36 times while maintaining image quality and interval-shooting mode perfect for fixed-point observation.

It has good underwater shooting mode
The RICOH WG-60 has underwater and underwater movie shooting modes that deliver sharp images captured underwater. These modes enhance shades of red that are lost in underwater photography while compensating for the loss of contrast in the water.
