With the myriad of drones available in the market today, manufacturers come up with new ways to remain competitive and survive the industry. Chinese aircraft manufacturer, Yuneec International, does not fall behind with its new product, a drone that is targeted to social media users. Breeze, is a “flying camera” but is a cut from other available drones available commercially. Yuneec specifically came up with a drone for the mainstream consumers and not necessarily for drone enthusiasts.
While it can be maneuvered using a mobile device, this drone is capable of taking Ultra HD 4K footage and images. What makes it unique among the rest is its feature that allows the user to share photos and videos instantaneously to social media accounts like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp and Twitter.
A Flying Camera
Apart from being compatible with iPhones and Android phones, Breeze boasts of five flight modes that are automated which make it a breeze to take shots from different angles. Also, this feature allows the user to let Breeze hover over the subject and keep it at a stable height up until landing. Designed with a compact body, operating this camera is so easy that it can be enjoyed right out of the box. It is also smaller compared to most drones sold in the market and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
On top of its 4K Ultra High Definition video capability that allows for 12-minute recordings, Breeze can also take ultra-clear stills at 13 megapixels. Moreover, it is capable of letting the user enjoy a live 720HD live stream of flight via a smartphone or device. Despite the short recording time, full charging can be done in about 40 minutes.
As for safety, Breeze has infrared and optical flow positioning sensors that keeps it steady and ensures the user that the device will not crash regardless of the environment it is in. And with its auto return-to-home and auto-landing feature, it can be enjoyed by any user even without the experience of flying a drone previously.
Moreover, it comes with the Breeze Cam app that makes it possible to be controlled using an iOs or Android device. It also is lightweight at only under one pound. These features make it convenient for the user to record videos, take pictures and share these images and footage to family and friends in different social media platforms. It is also capable of taking selfies which makes the drone more appealing to the targeted consumers.
According to Chief Executive Officer Tian Yu of Yuneec International, Breeze is a user-friendly camera that aims to take photography and video recording to new heights. He also added that since taking selfie pictures and videos is popular, the company thought of coming up with a device to catch up with the trend.
“The Breeze includes the Ultra HD and flight mode capabilities of our top-end drones, and because of its size and ease of use, the Breeze seamlessly integrates into just about any activity, whether it’s a first-time outdoor adventure or yearly gathering with friends and family,” he added.
Yuneec International is also the manufacturer of another drone model, the Typhoon H, that is equipped with RealSense 3D depth camera from Intel. Meanwhile, Breeze has a selling price of $499.
