CowboyStudio Camera Shoulder Stabilizer SteadyCam
Whether you shoot video or capture images, you want stability. This is so every shot you take or every film you shoot has a great quality to them. Nothing will be fuzzy and every detail will be clear.
As much as you like stability, you also want freedom of movement. You don’t want to feel so restricted in trying to capture whatever is right in front of you. You want to do whatever you want without feeling too restricted.
Having those two in mind, a tool like the CowboyStudio Camera Shoulder Stabilizer Steady Cam Load Vest is definitely a big plus. When put to work together with the single hand arm, you get tools at your disposal that allows both stability and freedom of movement.

The Vest
As mentioned in the features listed above, the vest is a one size fits all type. However, you still need to adjust it to suit your liking. It’s not something that you immediately wear and start to feel comfortable with. It comes with straps and buckles that you need to adjust to get it to the right height and length that you prefer. Or, put simply, to a feel that you feel most comfortable with. It’s just like putting on a life jacket when you’re going out rafting where you really need to get the right fit so that everything will be alright.
The load vest is designed to work with the stabilizer arm and the single handle arm. The latter will be attached to the stabilizer arm and the former will be inserted into the load vest. With the single handle arm attached to the load vest, you can create a free-motion arm that will just free up the load on your shoulders tremendously.
Without the free-motion arm, you’re forced to use the stabilizer for a number of hours which, let’s be honest, really tires you out. Most especially if you need to shoot on a very long day. With the vest, the arm and the stabilizer, you can shoot videos with ease of movement.
The Arm
The single handle arm is designed to be used as a free-motion arm that attaches itself to a stabilizer so that you can freely move it however you want. Of course, you need to stabilize the weight of everything first so that you can get the best output possible.
Your DSLR camera will be attached to the stabilizer and you need to get its weight even when everything else is connected together. This allows you to just shoot much better because everything is now stable. Plus, it allows you to move in free-motion which means that you can just easily move the handle around and cover more area than just standing and moving around the stabilizer alone.
